Mr Bijit Roy has designed and led large and complex public health and nutrition programmes. Over the last twelve years, Bijit has been leading the Advisory Group on Community Action (AGCA) Secretariat, which provides guidance to the state governments to institutionalize and scale up community action for health processes under the National Health Mission (NHM). He has represented in various national level advisory/expert committees. Bijit has earlier managed nutrition and health programmes in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh with CARE. He is a Fellow, Lancet Citizen’s Commission on Reimagining India’s Health Systems. He has an overall experience of twenty-three years, working with the Population Foundation of India since 2007 and earlier with CARE from 1998 to 2006.
