Dr Smarajit Chakraborty has over 30 years of experience primarily in the areas of public health management, partnership building, networking & policy advocacy, Urban Health and Family Planning. He had worked with PFI’s Health of the Urban Poor Project (HUP), CARE India, and in UNICEF in the states of Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, Assam and Sikkim. In addition to working as Programme Manager-CAH at the AGCA Secretariat from March 2016 to November 2017, he has also served Jansankhya Sthirata Kosh (an autonomous body under the MoHFW) as Team Leader from November 2017 to March 2019 in Delhi. He holds a Post Graduate Degree from XISS, Ranchi; and a Master Degree in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai.
